Visit Lake Humantay, a glacier fed raised lake, just off the Salkantay Trek. It’s in a spectacular location, surrounded by mountains (The most notable being Humantay, where the lake gets it’s name from), and is located 4200 metres above sea level. It’s a full day trip, picking you up from your accommodation in Cusco between 4 and 4:40am, returning to Cusco around 5pm (Traffic depending).

CUSCO – MOLLEPATA

We will pick you up from your hotel from 4:00 to 4:40 am and then leave Cusco at 5:00 am, passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo. At 8:00 am we will arrive at Mollepata where we will have our breakfast in a restaurant.

MOLLEPATA – HUMANTAY

From Mollepata we will continue in the bus to Soraypampa for 1 hour, then we will start the 1 1/2 hour hike to the Humantay lagoon located at 4220 masl/ 13,845 ft. We will have time for exploration and guidance around the lagoon and Humantay Mountain. Around 2:30 pm we will make our decent  to Soraypampa (45 minutes- 1 hour) and take the bus back to Mollepata for lunch. After lunch in Mollepata,  we return by bus to Cusco for 2 1/2 hours.
